Dakota automatic to manual

I am assuming hoping that they are essentially the same transfer case, but one has some sort of electrical actuator installed in place of the manual linkage and that all the necessary parts could be purchased from Dodge and simply swapped. The interior harness is the same whether you have a Manual or an Auto tranny, actually it is the same for most truck models.

It is cheaper to have 1 harness for all uses and just add the options rather than have different interior harnesses based on which options you want to slap in the truck. I am getting ready to convert mine to a manual and as said earlier for what I have in the conversion so far I could have built a pretty damn stout automatic. What should I look for in a replacement transmission?
